Trustees

The Board of Trustees is comprised of business and community leaders serving 5-year staggered terms to provide long-term continuity. The 5-member Board oversees the investment, management and distribution of the funds.

MIKE DAVIS

Mike recently retired as Director of Health Systems for the Green Mountain Care Board after having worked for 30 years managing the review of hospital budgets for the state of Vermont. He was previously employed as an Internal Auditor at National Life Insurance Company, and as a Senior Accountant at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft.  Mike has served on the Board of Directors for the Country Club of Barre for more than 25 years and has provided tax services for a number of clients for over 35 years. He currently serves as Treasurer of the Country Club of Barre. Mike has also served as a member of the SHS Scholarship Investment Advisory Committee.

LYNN GUY

Lynn worked for KDP Investment Advisors, Inc., a leading independent provider of high yield credit research, and KDP Asset Management, Inc., an asset management firm, for over 20 years retiring in early 2018. She held various positions from administrative assistant to Assistant Vice President and advanced to asset management back office operations serving as a liaison with custodians on cash balances and trading activities, such as settling bonds and leveraged loan relationships. Lynn has served as past Regent of Catholic Daughters of America, and has been active in numerous civic organizations and fund-raising activities.

DAVID LACROIX

David is the former owner of Lacross Memorials and has worked in the granite industry for over 40 years. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Barre Granite Association and past President of Consolidated Memorials. David is a current member of the SHS Board of Directors, serves as Chair of the SHS Facility Committee, and past Chair of the SHS Finance Committee. He previously served as Chair of the SHS Scholarship Investment Advisory Committee, and, in prior years, as a community-at-large member on the SHS Finance and Facility Committees.

NORMA MALONE

Norma is co-owner and business manager of Malone Associates LLC, a residential construction company, and the former co-owner and manager of East Hill Associates LLC, a real estate development company. Prior to entering the business sector, she worked in healthcare for 20 years. Norma served on the SHS Board of Directors for six years. She was instrumental in shepherding the formation of the Trust during her 5 year tenure as Chair of the SHS Board of Directors and while serving as Chair of the SHS Finance Committee. During her terms of office, she also served as Vice Chair of the Barre Supervisory Union Board of Directors. Norma currently serves on the Barre Town Select Board and is actively involved in several civic organizations.

SUSAN POCZOBUT

Susan served in the financial service industry for more than four decades. She was hired as CEO of National Life Employees Credit Union in 1996, following almost 23 years with the former Granite Bank, and was instrumental in expanding the credit union to serve community members outside of National Life employees. The credit union moved to Barre in 2001 and was renamed Granite Hills Credit Union. Susan recently retired following the acquisition of the credit union by North Country Credit Union. Susan has also served as Chair of the Finance Committee at St. Monica Church, Secretary of the Barre Rotary Club, Vice-Chair of the VT State Board of Credit Unions, and is a past member of the Barre Town School Budget Committee.
